SAMUI BUTTERFLY GARDEN
Samui Butterfly Garden is a very famous tourist attraction offers various kind of butterflies, bee house, insect museum and a colorful tropical flowers. To begin with, the butterfly section which covered with netting. The owner has set the walkway with red bright flowers and bananas in order for the beautiful creature to come near to human. Moreover, many species of scorpions as well as spiders are also a show case here. Furthermore, the garden also offers cocoons and caterpillars. Next to the garden is a coral reef at Wang Bay, visitors has an options to staying dry in the glass bottom-boat or by snorkeling with wet suits. SAMUI AQUARIUM AND TIGER ZOO
Samui Aquarium and Tiger Zoo Koh Samui located at Ban Harn beach, the Samui Aquarium and Tiger Zoo offer a fun day out for the family. The undersea world of the aquarium has an amazing collection of tropical fish and other vibrant aquatic animals such as turtles and colorful coral. The Tiger Zoo is home to Bengal tigers and leopards. For those who are daring enough, they can have their photograph taken with the awesome animals. HIN TA AND HIN YAI
Hin Ta and Hin Yai are the highlights of some fascinating rock formations at the southern end of Lamai Beach on Koh Samui. They've been a source of giggles and wonder on the island since they were discovered by the locals many years ago. Known as Grandpa ( Ta ) and Grandma ( Yai ), the rocks look, respectively, like male and female genitalia and they have turned into one of the island’s famous attractions. SAMUI MONKEY CENTER
When thinking of Samui, the first thing that comes to your mind might be “a monkey collecting coconuts”. However, it might not be as easy as you might think to train a monkey to do so. For this reason, the Monkey Center is established and has turned into a new tourist attraction which becomes popular among local people and foreigners. In the center, the monkeys will be trained to collect the coconuts. Each training session takes about 4 months. If you have a monkey, you can take it to participate a training course which costs 6,000 Baht for 1 monkey. Moreover, you can enjoy other monkey shows in the center. For example, monkey jumping through the loops, memorizing numbers, playing guitars or untying knots. Also, you do not have to worry about the hygiene of the monkeys because all monkeys here are vaccinated and bathed every time before the show. The show opens 3 times a day: 10.30 a.m., 02.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. and cost 150 and 300 baht for children and adult respectively. NAMTOK NA MUANG
Namtok Na Muang, or ‘Purple Waterfalls’, are so named because of the striking purple shade of their rock faces. There are other waterfalls to visit on Koh Samui, but these are considered to be among the most scenic. Na Muang is a popular place for families to relax and swim. Na Muang Waterfalls are set in lush jungle surrounds, easily accessible just off the main ring road Route 4169 about halfway between Nathon and Lamai Beach. Visitors with a reasonable level of fitness will be able to reach the falls on foot. The paths leading to the falls can be steep or slippery in places so be sure to wear some sturdy footwear and take care when walking. Though access to the waterfalls is free there is plenty along the way to spend your money on, including several stalls selling snacks and souvenirs and offers of a guided tour of the area. An entire day could be spent at the falls swimming, hiking, exploring, picnicking – a cool and peaceful alternative to the beach. From ShaSa Resort & Residences, Koh Samui - drive along the main road for about 16 minutes ( 8.8 km. ) until reaching the signed entrance road to Na Muang falls. The park entrance is about 1 km. up this road. Na Muang 1 is reached by a 100 m. walk from the parking lot, while Na Muang 2 is a further 100 m. away along a more challenging path.
KOH MUDSUM
Koh Mudsum, also referred to as Koh Matsum, is a small island on the south side of Koh Samui. It’s a popular island among day trippers for enjoying a picnic on its white sandy beach, and it also offers great good opportunities for snorkeling, kayaking or just chilling out in the sunshine.
Today, Koh Mudsum or as many people call it Koh Moo. Here is a cute pigs for tourists to experience and take pictures of playing with them near the sea. It is very popular with both Thai and foreign tourists. A long tail boat will take you from Thong Krut Pier ( Koh Samui ) to Koh Mudsum around 30 minutes and bring you back around 03.00 p.m. or 04.30 p.m.
